Freaking Cold In New York

It's freaking cold in New York. Yeah, I'm back. (Lani spits on the floor in the office) I wish I didn't have to bundle up the way I did this morning, but it was so cold and windy, I almost cried.

While in California, the weather was warm and the days were sunny. I took pictures and posted them to my buzz account and later, went through the pictures posted by my buzz pals. Though it was warm and I had on my flip flops, the closest I got to the cold was Tomdog's snow pictures. His pictures were amazing. And while it was warm on my end, I could feel the snow and the cold against my hand. (actually, that was the ice cold glass of coke that my hand was leaning up against.)

I thought about New York and the snow I left behind. I went down stairs with my co-worker buddy and took some pictures outside while it was snowing. I was days away from warm weather. New York is a place in which I'll always love, but I think I'm getting tired of the cold air. At least in california, winter months are warm and a bit cool at night. I found myself often wearing socks to bed. :(

But now that I'm back in New York, the weather is cold and I'm not happy about it. I walked out at lunch time to pick up some food. Walked about 5 blocks and that was it. If you're not wearing a hat or a hood over your head here in New York today, you're retarded.

Yeah, it was like that here too. Horrible. I was moaning going into work cause my face was burning from the wind.

I'm a California boy so I know what you're talking about. There's something to be said for seasons vs. the dreadful "sameness" of the climate out there. Snow's nice, we really haven't had any at all this winter, just the last couple weeks, it will all be gone very soon. The wind, up here at least, has been very obnoxious, and I wouldn't mind it letting up a bit, which it will do, eventually.
