Trading Spouses

I just finished watching Trading Spouses. I can't believe some people. Well maybe alot of people. The wives are sent to other homes for a week. But in this case, the couples that switched was a straight couple and a lesbian couple.

The lesbian couple say goodbye to each other and she leaves to her new family for the week. The straight couple say goodbye and she leaves her husband for her new family for the week. The lesbian woman meets the husband and they are nice to each other.

The straight woman stands there waiting to meet the husband, but instead gets greeted by the lesbian woman. She's in shock. The woman tells her that she's the wife and the straight chick stands there looking like she can't understand it.

While the lesbian is in the car with the straight man, he ask her about her husband. She said to him that she didn't have one. Said she had a wife. There was silence. When they got home, she meets the kids. Two girls at 17 and 18. They say hello and the dad steps in and says to his kids, that they should ask her about her husband. He stood there with a smirk on his face. She looks at him like he was an asshole and she could not believe that he did that.

The girls didn't ask, so moments later the dad says to ask her what her husband does. She got upset and gave him a dirty look. She sighed and then said to the girls that she was a lesbian and that she was with another woman for 20 years. The girls were a bit shocked, but said it was cool.

Meanwhile, back in California, the lesbian woman is being tortured by the Oregon's woman's ignorance. She was rude and lacked empathy and understanding for the gay community. She said it was wrong and that nothing like that was going on where she lived. She also said she was upset that Mexicans were multiplying and taking over. Taking over jobs and not doing much with their lives, so why come here.

Wow, she was so bad. I watched the show because I wanted to see how ignorant she was and then she said to the lesbian woman..."There are many people out there just like me, you know that?." And the other woman said she knew that. And it was ashame.

The ignorant woman was then taken out to a gay community. A place where it was safe for them to be themselves. A very popular and nice place. She sat there and stared at every gay couple. Then she kept pointing out who was gay and really gay. The woman was embarrassed when she asked the waiter if he was gay. He said he was straight and the lesbian woman apologized for her comments.

How horrible is it that there are so many ignorant people out there. Where people do not understand people who choose to live this way. What way?? There's no difference, except that it's two women and two men. They're still great people. They're still out there working because it's what they have to do to survive just like straight people. They cook, clean, crack jokes, sleep, care for people. They're just not into what you're into. And people have the right to be who they want to be.

I really can't stand to hear people who refuse to stop being ignorant. To hear that being gay is wrong. To hear that they don't like Mexicans or want them close by. To hear that people should speak english in our country. If you have a second language, you're free to speak it. Though the US is an english speaking country, we have so many different nationalities living here and THAT is the way it is here. So you people that get upset when a Japanese person talks in their language, or a spanish woman speaks to her sister in spanish...you need to shut the hell up and take the stick out your ass. How ignorant of you to say these things are bad. To make them feel bad. To beat on a person because they're gay.

You are a disgrace.

Well this show is going to continue next Friday at 9pm. I hope I don't forget to watch it. I wish I could get in touch with that lady. Maybe she's well recognized and someones gonna come along and kick her ass.

I hate that show and all shows like it. In terms of the ignorant people you are talking about, from my experience, you are talking about at least 90+% of the people who live at least 100 miles from any of the oceans surrounding our great country.

and thank you for your visit and comments about my show - that's very nice of you!! I'm getting less nervous about being on the air so hopefully more of that real voice will come through as time goes one. :-)
