Saying Dude

Him: "Dude? Is that you?"

Her: "Yes it is. Hi, how are you?"

Him: "DUDE, YOU LOOK AWESOME!"

Her: "Thanks, so do you."

Him: "Duuude, you should totally hang out with me tonight."

Her "I could. I'll call you later."

Him: "Cool."

What came to mind when you read this? Did you see a Blond, California dude talking to a chick? Was it weird that he kept calling her dude? It's normal these days for a guy to call a girl dude, cause that's the lingo out there.

I remember when I started saying "dude." I was watching a show and this comedian said dude alot. He was playing a spanish person trying to figure out how to say dude in spanish. So from that time, I kept saying dude. I also kept dreaming of California so much. Seeing the surfer dudes on tv. I knew where to find the dudes.

So one day I met this guy at work. I said "dude" to him and he was like, "Dude! You say dude?" And I said, "My nickname is dude, dude!" He was so happy. He fell in love with me right then and there. Yes, he had the hots for me. He was a dude from California. Blond hair, blue eyes. He was cute. I had my first "dude" from California right here in New York City.

So you hear people saying dude alot. And those that say it...most are cool. They sound and look cool when they say it. But there are just some people that sound stupid. If you have an accent, it's not gonna sound right. Plus some girls think it's cool to say it. You can tell they have recently picked up on the word to sound cool like others. But the truth is, you gotta be cool to sound cool when you say it. I can tell by the way you speak if dude is coming out of your mouth right. Even if you're from California, you might not always sound right.

There's this girl who says "dude" alot here. I don't think she really understands the word dude. The passion that one has when they start to form the sounds of dude. Dude is not to be used at everyone. Some people will say they're not a dude. Or some dudes will say they don't feel like a dude so they would preferr being called something sweeter. What I am trying to get at here is that not every person is cool. So saying dude to a person could make you look stupid. The truth is, you gotta be cool when you say dude. A cool person rocks their outfit right so when they say dude, they look awesome saying it. If you're a straight up nerd, saying dude could get you hung up on a fence where everyone in the parking lot can see you but can't reach you cause you were hung up pretty high.

I pretty much lost my point here. I babbled my ass off. I'm very sorry. A bit bored here at work. But while I was checking some things out on line, I over heard a girl saying dude and she sounded pretty stupid. That's when I decided to write about it.
