LJ Celebrates Turning 36 With Sock Monkey

Sock Monkey by Mas's talented mom.

So I got the cake I wanted. YAY! It's from the Valencia company that's been around since before I was born. There are very few bakeries left. My dad found one close by. Sweet!! Maybe another cake next year? But my parents can't eat too much of it cause it's sweet. They have to watch what they eat. Me? Well half the cake came home with me. Ooooh yeah.

Thanks to everyone that reach out to wish me well. My friends and family. :)

And I'd like to thank Mas for the flowers and gifts. :)

It's pineapple filling inside. It's from a bakery called Valencia. It's like a spanish style cake. They use to be everywhere back in the days. My dad found a place near by. The cream is sweet. Very tasty. It's one of the reasons I love Valencia. And the pineapple filling. Very fresh and soft, always.

I've never posted here before, but I found your post while searching for words of encouragement about turning 36. I turn 36 today (jan. 25th) and it's a bit different than every year before now. Anyway, I was just writing to say you have to be the most beautiful 36 I've ever seen!! If I look as good as you do at this age (even though I'm a man) I doing much better than I thought! :-) Happy belated birthday, I hope it was wonderful! Jeff B.
