Ani

So I walk over to get some pizza. I shouldn't be eating it, I know. So I decided to wait outside. I sat down at the table with Booboo and just people watched. From the corner came a mother, a grandmother and the mother's two kids. One was a boy who one night I had the pleasure of talking to. He would ask me questions about Booboo and then out of nowhere, he ask me if I hurt people. Hmmm....of course I couldn't tell him the truth. That I like to beat people, so I said, "Of course not!" And I smiled. It was 10pm at night and I was wondering why he wasn't in bed as he was riding his bike back and fourth on the block. I didn't see his mom. Ok. So the little girl comes running right towards me and Booboo. She had to be about 2 or 3. Maybe 2 and she ran over to me looking like she was gonna fall over. You know how little kids scare you as they run? Well she looked like she was gonna fall over. She looked cute, though. So she came right over to pet Booboo, but I held them both apart.

She kept coming by the dog without fear, as Booboo would grawl at her. She was so cute. She would peek over at me and smile and pretend she was coming, but she would just stand at the doorway to the pizza shop. A few minutes later, she comes out and comes by Booboo again. I allowed her to pet Booboo, but on his back, while I held Booboo's head. The she ran off into the store.

So I'm standing there with Booboo tied to the fence and the little girl comes out and runs past Booboo and picks up a bottle cap from the floor and puts it in her mouth. I grab her yelling, "No, no, no!" and tell her mother what she has in her mouth. They were friendly and it was funny how she just walked up to it and put it in her mouth like it was candy. Crazy. So as I walked off, her grandmother says to say goodbye Ani. And I said, "Ani? I'm Lani!" And they smiled and said my name. Then she said, "Say bye bye to Lani!"
