PMS often includes both physical and emotional symptoms. Common symptoms are:
-breast swelling and tenderness
-fatigue and trouble sleeping
-upset stomach, bloating, constipation or diarrhea
-headaches
-appetite changes or food cravings
-joint or muscle pain
-tension, irritability, mood swings, or crying spells --- TOTALLY NOT TRUE! I JUST EXPRESS MYSELF MORE DURING THIS TIME.
-anxiety or depression
-trouble concentrating or remembering.
Symptoms vary from one woman to another. If you think your woman has PMS, try keeping track of her symptoms for several menstrual cycles. Or for life, if you're married to her. You can use a calendar to note which symptoms she is having on which days of her cycle, and how bad the symptoms are. If she seeks medical care for her PMS, having this kind of record is helpful. But most women will say they don't have serious problems with PMS. They will say, while grinding their teeth, "I'm merely expressing myself, sweetheart." She may also have blood shot red eyes. She doesn't have to drink to have blood shot eyes. Just staying up the entire night will make her even crazier. Don't hog the bed either during this time. You might want to consider having a guest bedroom for her "that time of the month" private time.
What treatment is available for PMS?
Many treatments have been tried for easing the symptoms of PMS. However, no treatment has been found that works for everyone. A combination of lifestyle changes and other treatment may be needed. If your PMS is not so bad that you need medical help, a healthier lifestyle may help you feel better and cope with symptoms.
-Adopt a healthier way of life. Exercise regularly, get enough sleep, choose healthy foods, don't smoke, and find ways to manage stress in your life.
-Try avoiding excess salt, sugary foods, caffeine, and alcohol, especially when you are having PMS symptoms.
-Love, flowers, a favorite chocolate candy and a hug often helps.
MEN! DID YOU EVER THINK THAT MAYBE IF YOU STOPPED LAUGHING AND MAKING FUN OF US DURING OUR TIME OF THE MONTH THAT MAYBE WE WOULDN'T RUN AFTER YOU WITH A FRYING PAN? All we want is love. Be nice to us and somehow we will see this when we stop seeing red.
Although as I write this, I am not emotional. I am not having any symptoms, either. I am only here to help the millions of women and men who do not understand how having PMS can affect a person. Not just women, but men as well. Men will suffer as much as women, but not in the way women do. Men will suffer emotional distress. As well as physical pain, broke bones and crying spells while in the shower. It's not something to make fun of . It's not something to take lightly either. There are times when I want to kill myself because sometimes I think life sucks. Sometimes I want to stab myself and set my home on fire. But of course, that wouldn't happen. I couldn't let a pair of nice boobs go to waste. I'm still young and there's still hope. I truely believe this. Now as I write this, I feel light. I feel happy. I am not angry at people anymore. I am not angry at my ex who was a jerk. I wish him well in life. I also wish the girl who slept with my ex and had his baby, who then threw it in my face and after that, I waited for her at night and threw a potato sack bag over her head and beat her til she stopped moving. Although she's learning to say her a, b, c's and count her 1,2, 3s, I don't hate her anymore. She's okay in my book. Does this sound like someone whose emotional? Hey, I'm only expressing myself. ;)
