They say I'm strange. Okay, so maybe that's true. I'm quite reserved. I look mean sometimes when in fact I'm not (cough cough says you, who knows me well). They say I'm strange because of my answers? Because of what I do? Because of how I look?? Could it be? I won't change. I won't change my strange ways. You wanna know why? Because my strange ways have kept me sane. My strange ways have kept me positive and friendly. My strange ways have given me the ability to see the good in all and the ability to see the world through a different window. To see it with a different color. To see that life should not be serious all the time, even as an adult.
Because we are older now, does not mean that we have to act old. Just mature. But never old. Because we are older now, does not mean we can not enjoy the young. To run with them or join them in their laughter and dreams. Because we are older now, does not mean you can't follow your dreams and be an actor or a painter or even a singer. If you can sing...please.
They say I'm strange because I fight the stress that we all carry and kick it to the side. Believe me, I have my days when I want to cry. Where I want to tear off someone's ear. Where I sometimes want to die, but because I am strange, I put it all off and look out my window and see it all look better.
Because I'm strange, is why I still smile.

As a native NEW YORKER, myself, who has lived in various other areas outside of the big A, I get alot of that. No problem. Teach them the difference between 'assurance' and 'arrogance'. Its a thin line. Beside, what I tell them is:
"I'm from NEW YORK. You got a freaking problem with that"! ;-)
LoL, you tell 'em!
