10 people stand on a corner in Manhattan waiting for the light to turn green. One guy steps forward and starts to walk. 8 people start to walk. The cars start honking their horns and taxi cabs are coming down the street fast. Looking like deers caught in headlights, the 8 people are in the middle trying to figure out which way to go, while one person stayed on the corner waiting for the right time to cross.
Ever notice this? People don't pay attention. They start to drift off once they get to the corner. But there's always someone paying attention, like that one person who stayed behind. Why is this?
