Maine's Hot Air Balloon Action

While visiting Maine, I was able to attend the Hot Air Balloon festival. The balloons were amazing. It took time to fill up, but once they were ready to take off, they took off quick. And they were pretty high up there. Not sure if I could have done it. I would have been shaking in my shorts. Then there was a little balloon action past the bridge. What's the name of that bridge, you ask? I don't know.

Towards the end of the evening, we had yet to see the main event balloons. The bumble bee balloons. There were up after 7pm. It was already dark. But they didn't take off. All they did was fill up the balloons with air and left it so everyone could see. The next day, those bumble bee hot air balloons took off. I was walking around looking to get up close and personal with the people filling it up with air, fire and holding it down.


Well, it was a nice event. It's great to see something like this in person. Maybe even better to ride it? It was about 200 bucks. But money wasn't the issue. I was a big chicken. Whatever....
