Lani's Pumpkins

So I decided I was going to photograph my pumpkin. I went to the super market and found they were NOT only selling pumpkins, but baby pumpkins as well. This excited me. So I walked over and picked out a few.

I brought them into work and showed the girls. "Awww, how cute." Said one girl. And of course, the others thought they were cute too. I'm just not gonna write what they all said, okay? So one of the girls said she would paint faces on them. See...the day before, she was talking about how good she was at painting funny faces on pumpkins. Since this made her smile and obviously she found joy in doing them, I set out to buy some pumpkins for her to draw faces on.

I said, "You do that and I'll photograph them." Now, not that I would be sending her my pumpkin pictures....okay, I will be emailing them off to everyone. Everyone will get to see the masterpiece of a photo that I had taken, as I am a masterpiecer!! (I made that up, yes.)

So I took a moment out of my busy day at work, to photograph these small pumpkins. I like 'em. This black and white pumpkin makes me feel like it's a pumpkin from the 1940s. Why? I don't know. Perhaps it's because it's in black and white? Somehow I started thinking, Clark Gable, Betty Davis. You know, cause most of their photographs were taking in black and white........

So yeah, those are the thoughts that came to mind. And so next, I bring you up to date with some color. Here is Peter Pumpkin with his homies. Yes, Peter Pumpkin. And you know, it's not that I called him Peter Pumpkin because of the Peter Pumpkin, Pumpkin Eater....umm is that how is goes? It just came to mind. Maybe...MAYBE, because of the Peter Pumpkin Eater thingy, I came up with that name for him. Or for it. Okay, I'm gonna go with that.

Anyway, photographing pumpkins in the conference was great. I HIGHLY recommend you try it too.
