New Year's Resolution

It's the new year and almost everyone is talking about what their new year resolutions are. The truth is, everyone that makes a resolution breaks it. They never get the pounds off cause they stop going to the gym. They never save their money cause they keep on drinking. They never stop cheating....the list of resolutions go on and on. Whatever your resolution is, just say you're going to do this and just do it. Don't say it's your new year's resolution. Just say you're going to do this and make it work.

I'm going to the gym to lose what I've been wanting to lose. I hope to do it, but it's surely not going to be my new years resolution. I'm just going to do it. I'm also going to ignore silly people and stop talking to people I shouldn't be talking to. I'm not going to be nice because people are just not nice to me. I'm going to focus on my loved ones or maybe....maybe I'll just focus on me. That sounds much better. Let's do that. I'll focus on me for a change.

I'm going to get that dam project of mine finished for once and for all. But one thing I will never ever do is take anything for granted. No, I won't make any new year resolutions, I will just do the things I need to do.

And while I'm writing here, let me just say that I am grateful for what I have. A family, a roof over my head, a job that sometimes bores me, but if I didn't have it, I would be sad. I'm grateful for having a wonderful man in my life who is always good to me and never brings me grief. Grateful for being alive and healthy. I'm grateful to have travelled to all the places I have travelled to. And I am grateful for being me.

That's all I want to say at this moment. Thank you.
