Shocking News

I got on the train this morning. Decided not to get the paper, as I normally do, and just sit with my eyes closed.

Several stops later, I opened my eyes and looked over at the newspaper this girl next to me was reading and saw it. I saw IT! What I had feared all this time has come true. Was this shocking? Yes and no. But more yes than no. I could not get my eyes off of the news paper and the article and picture that was burned into my head. I guess there was a reason why I didn't pick up the paper. I would have seen the picture. But no matter what, I saw it. Even if I didn't get the paper, was it meant for me to see? Was there no way to avoid it??
