If you were a kid in the 70's, under the age of 10, then you might have saw this movie a
nd had nightmares for a while. I was about 5 or 6 in the late 70's and one day I was sitting in the living room and this movie was on. All I could remember is this little african doll coming to life and running around this apartment. It was hiding at first and then started to run after the woman, actress Karen Black. She bought this doll for her boyfriend but decided to see the guy on another night. She had this arguement with her mother and slammed the doll down on the coffee table, in which the doll's chain fell off. This chain kept an evil spirit inside the doll. So once it was off, this doll would come to life and start to kill. The doll came with a note, but I'm not sure if she took this serious or not. Well off came the chain and now this doll was running around in her apartment. I can't remember everything, all I remember was the doll running around and then the doll getting tossed into the oven. The ending? Well I can't recall seeing it. I might have been hiding behind the couch. I did that alot. Would I see it again today? Probably not. I'm still a chicken when the lights go out.

LOL! I avoid scary movies myself--nightmares. Karen Black has been in a lot of strange films.
Nice blog, Lani!
Thanks. :)
I remember that movie. I was scared for the longest time after that. I don't know if I would see it again now. I think a 41 year old will still get scared. What do you think. ;)
Yeah JP, I'm with you. I'm not going to watch that movie again. I know I'll be up the entire night over a doll. I need my beauty sleep.
